Just hope you can get a deal on a ps3...... the older fat ones have the same hardware inside as the new ones and the same software update, so, you may get a deal on a fatty instead of a slimmy :)

i'm hhoping the new slims are more reliable than the original models, hopefully the newer 45nm chipset will run cooler :)

yeah, apparently the slims have a 45nm chipset (iirc the original was 65nm) smaller size = cheaper to make, less power consumption & cooler running. my last ps3 got the dreaded yellow light of death... which is ironic since i only baught it cos i was fed up with replacing 360's due to the same failure rofl...

i'm just lucky like that lol :)

lol, I was having a laugh with one of the guys the other regarding it, The game
i was going to buy instead of MW2, was the ps3 game, uncharted 2, but I've held off for now.

one because it's still like 35-45 quid,
two, because i got mw2 for xbox and pc, and still like playing that.

I will log in again soon.....just have been too busy to watch movies at the mo....

the main reason i got it.

just got a splitfish frag fx for when i get my ps3 :) hate console controllers for fps games, hope this works better, it's like a cross between a mouse & a normal ps3 controller :)

i was looking at those controllers a while back, i may invest in one myself....

i picked it up second hand on ebay for £40, still a lot of money tbh, but about £20 less than a new one.

another one worth looking at is the fragenstien controller, same idea, & about the same price, but that one is completely wireless, wheras the frag fx has a nunchuck type cable between the mouse & the controller. opiinion seems split down the middle as to which one works best, so chances are they are pretty much the same in use.

cant wait to try it out on resistance fall of man 1, i used to love the manchester map in multiplayer :) so it'll be a good gauge as to weather or not it's better than a dual shock controller :) tho, tbh, using a mouse has just gotta be better than standard console controllers.
