yepp i heard of this too. new version of xbox360 has a better cooling system but old one is getting to hot after some time and 'die' then :(

oh noes, BUT....

if you have the reciept M$ will repair it under warrenty for 3 years, when mine went they collected it monday & i had it back in less than a week :)

Thats just it m8, i dont have the reciept.

I am assured by a mate who works for game that m$ will be able to check the age of the console from the serial number, and will repair it without question, or reciept.

Hope hes right , its only 13 months old and it really has hardly been used.

another thing to consider, if you paid via credit card, they can provide proof of purchase as well :)

I cant remember how i paid. It would have probably been debit card, but, i cant find anything in on-line statements.

XBOX support were open today.

Phoned 'em. Told them what the fault was.

They asked for the serial number, then they arranged to have it collected.

Will be returned to me repaired within 15 days, totally free of charge....NICE!

i got mine back in less than a week, but that was during the summer, maybe they will be a little slower due to this being a busy period, but it'll deffo be no more than 15 days either way :)

Looks like the idiots have lost the XBOX 360.

It was sent to HAVANT in Germany via UPS, its gone missing.

Ah well, looks like M$ will be providing a brand new one.

Still not back, apparently HAVANT is in the UK ,not Germany as it said on the label

,so it hasnt left the country.

It did arrive at the service center in HAVANT UK , but, fook knows whats happened to it........

M$ Support will get back to me........yeah right!

mercy demand a new one mate, kick up a right fuss, see whats happens

you just need to know the right peeps, have you any friends with similar issues, is there a name you need to drop of a boss or supervisor

XBOX Arrived today, A Nice shiney new one

Its got the same serial number as the old console, but, its definatley new, inless they replaced the case aswell as all the flaps had fell off and it was scuffed on the top.

Smells brand new
